I’ve always refused to kill bugs and have judged people who have. It has always seemed so terrible and senseless to me. Didn’t God make enough room on this great earth for all of His many and varied creatures?
I cannot emphasize enough how fast living in India has changed my tune. “Die suckers!” I shout nightly as I spray insect-killer at whole armies of ants on their way from my door to my bed. And nothing is more satisfying than smashing bugs between my book pages– those who are attracted to the glow of my flashlight and make it through my mosquito net. This morning I used my trash can to violently slice a giant spider right in half. Such a victory. Does it even get any better than that?
UUUhhhhhhhhhhhh…

I normally hate bugs. That changed when I named a marbled orb weaver Frank, who was a spider living in a corner in my garage. Every day when I got home I would get out of the car and make saying hello to Frank a part of my ritual. Eventually I came home and my friend was not there. Upon asking my dad if he had seen a spider in the corner of the garage, he replied through eating his cereal and watching Fox News something about "Broom" and "got the bastard."

Same thing happened to me with moles. I first wanted to use humane traps and let them out to scurry off in the woods, somewhere far away from my grass. Turns out they don't get into the humane traps. After they almost completely ruined my lawn, turning it into a mass of ugly dirt mounds, I wanted to personally hit each of them over the head with a shovel, which is after all a quick death.

I got my fabric ytaderesy – it is truly beautiful! I found you on etsy when I was searching for some screenprinted fabric, I admired it for ages until I had some pennies in my bank to buy some….then I stopped by your blog, and also on flickr too (I am not a stalker – honestly!!!)I am in Yorkshire, in the UK, in the rain making dolls to keep me busy and to stop my brain from turning into mush!Over the next 2 years…I’d like to see dinosaur fabric…definitely more birthday parties….just more of the same!!!
